Congratulations to Samantha and handsome Clyde who came out over-all winners at the Dunolly HRCAV Trials in Level 2 on the weekend of May 6-7 2017! Dressage produced mixed results for Sam coming in 2nd place, 8 points behind the winner, but true to Clyde’s form – Cross Country was sensational with a clear round, and 2 rails down in show jumping. For their efforts, Clyde is sporting a beautiful new sash and woollen rug. Well done team Palmer!!!
Samantha competed at the Heytesbury Horse Trials on the weekend of 22 & 23 April 2017. Competing on a rain soaked course, which was very wet and slippery in places, Samantha had mixed results for her and Clyde’s efforts. As usual Clyde shone in the cross country jumping clear with an overall result of 22nd of 40 entries. Well done to both Sam and Clyde for doing so well in such challenging conditions!
Samantha’s instructors have confidence that Sam and Clyde have the ability to make it all the way to 3* eventing and she has a number of events and clinics booked in for the year ahead. Samantha is very proud and excited to be part of the Victorian Eventing Squad meeting every two months at Werribee Park.
“My main goal is to ride at the Melbourne International 3 Day Event, which is held in June at Werribee each year. I have quite a way to go to get to this level, and hopefully Clyde and I can get there with the Freemantle’s logo by our side” said Sam.
Freemantle Stock Feeds is proud to continue as a major sponsor of Sam’s efforts for a 3rd year in 2017. We wish her success in her riding endeavours and thank her being such a great ambassador for our brand. Sam states that she is “honoured to continue representing (FSF) throughout 2017 and beyond. I love how fat your chaff keeps my horses, and how shiny your muesli mix makes them!”
Stay tuned for updates on events where Sam and Clyde will be competing so that you can talk to her about her endeavours and Freemantle Stock Feeds products.
